Customers express their true feelings toward your brand on social media. And you should listen. That’s why we enriched our sentiment analysis algorithms with AI to give you the emotional context of your mentions!

Ladies and gents, we proudly present: Emotion Analysis — our latest AI feature that helps you understand your audience better!

What’s Emotion Analysis?

So, things got emotional in Mentionlytics. Now our platform goes beyond classifying your mentions into positive and negative.

It analyzes the context of each mention and — thanks to AI — recognizes the mentioner’s emotion behind it: joy, anger, sadness, and fear.

But don’t get confused. Our classic sentiment analysis of your mentions is still working as always. However, with this new, separate feature you can take it a step further.

How Emotion Analysis Can Help You

Understanding your customers is a top priority. Emotion analysis helps you with that by providing specific insights into what your customers truly feel at a glance.

That means you don’t have to read every mention to understand if people are happy, sad, or angry about your brand, products, and services.

All you have to do is check out the Emotion Pie Chart to see which emotion prevails. And then, dive deeper into your mentions to see what they enjoy or what the issues are.

Furthermore, emotion analysis gives you hints on which social mentions you should definitely translate using our mention translate feature to understand what they say and respond quickly to keep crises at bay.

For example, if you see a mention marked with the anger icon in a foreign language, that’s something you should deal with right away.

Where To Find It

You can switch between sentiment and emotion analysis in the Overview Chart in your Overview Dashboard. There you can examine the emotional context of your mentions per day, per week, or per month based on the filter you use.

Additionally, there’s a separate Emotion Pie Chart right next to the World Map, where you can see which emotion prevails in your mentions. Find it by scrolling down the Overview Dashboard.

Of course, you can also see the emotion icon next to the sentiment icon in all mention boxes.

What’s more, you can go to Reports and check out the brand new standard report “Top Mentions Report with Emotion Analysis”, which includes sentiment as well as emotion analysis of your mentions.

This is the only standard report that includes emotion analysis. Nonetheless, if you are a Pro or higher plan user, you can choose to activate it in your custom reports.

Note: Emotion analysis is available only in Advanced or higher price plans. If you have a Basic or Essential plan, you can upgrade to access the new feature.
